Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ7 Digital Camera user reviews
"I love Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ7 Digital Camera. I've had quite a few 'point-and-shoot' digital cameras over the years from several different makers (Canon, Nikon, Sony, Casio) and while I enjoyed immensely each and every camera, I must say that this camera is the be...st that I've ever owned. My last camera was a Canon PowerShot A530 (5MP) that I absolutely adored. After seeing some photos from the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ7 on Flickr, I knew I had to have one. I really wanted a 6x zoom and image stabilization but not to spend more than $200. This camera delivers great results and it won't break the bank. I'm not a professional photographer but I know what looks good. Another thing is that this camera is easy to use. The menus are logical and the modes are easily learned. This camera feels very sturdy in your hands. It doesn't feel cheap at all and has just the right mount of weight. I love the compartments. Battery, SD card, and USB have all separate compartments. I hate having to worry about batteries falling out when I change my SD card. The compartment doors are very sturdy and they don't feel horribly fragile either. They're not just hardened rubber like on a lot of other cameras. It may seem like a small thing but to me it's the small touches that make this camera so great. Speaking of small things, there's one gripe I have. You can watch the video playback on the camera but there is no sound while viewing on the camera. Speaking of video, this camera takes GREAT video! The video comes out very clear and the microphone picks up sounds well but doesn't seem to pick up noise. One more thing though, once you zoom while taking video it's fixed when you start recording. But that's really a minor thing IMHO. Look up the photos this camera takes on Flickr. Results are what matters, not reviews, right? All I can say is I'm very happy with this camera and for the price range it cannot be beat in quality and features. Good luck!"

"Very pleased with the quality of the pictures. However, the usb port to upload pictures quit working after only two weeks. My other girls also had this problem with their Lumix cameras that they purchased a year ago. We were hoping Panasonic had fixed the problem with the camera, but unfortunately Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ7 Digital Camera is doing the same thing. Frustrated that there is no one locally to fix it and we have to send it to IL. We probably would not purchase a Lumix again for this reason."
