"I had the fx33 previously, and was hopeful Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX35S Digital camera would overcome the shortcomings. It is the first camera to offer HD video (720p rather than 480p) - but strangely, uses quicktime, and more importantly, does not allow zooming during shooting. Canons and others allow at least digital zoom to function (no optical zoom so the motor is not heard.."

"Panasonic has been a pioneer in putting very wide lenses into its compact cameras and has once again raised the bar with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX35S Digital camera. Sporting a 4X optical zoom lens with a 35mm equivalency of 25–100mm, the FX35 is designed for people who love to take wide landscape photos but don’t want to spend a lot of money on their cameras. And while the 10.1-megapixel FX35 achieves that and more, its image quality is only average, making this model a very good but not great sub-$400 compact camera."

"The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX35S Digital camera was worth the wait for me. With this small point&shoot package,I finally won't miss my old film camera(Olympus-OM1/Tokina 24mm wide angle lens).I need to keep my nails a bit longer just to manage the tiny menu buttons,but hey,I don't text-message! So far so good with the overall performance.The Timer Release has to be set for each shot(no memory lock).Comparing the resolution to my Samsung Digimax-V70/7MP(with nice Flip-Screen),it seems a bit Sharper.I believe if you want a shirt-pocket camera with big print potential,and a delicious 25mm Real Wide Angle perspective that matters,go for this baby! A 21mm perspective would be too much to ask for, but HEY!"

It easily fits in your shirt pocket so when a photo opportunity appears, you have it right there with you. The stabilizer works great. I've taken sharp pictures at 1/8th of a second.
